This is a large 2 day conference / workshop held in Chicago and it’s an honor to be a part of !

“The Illinois Videographers Association is holding their Fifth Annual IVA Filmmakers Expo on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 28-29, 2011 at the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, Illinois. This year’s event features a blockbuster lineup of nationally known speakers and will offer something for everyone.
For the first time, this premier IVA Filmmakers Expo will be a two-day event. During Day 1, seminars will be conducted by top filmmakers/educators in our industry. An expanded trade show will also be an important element of day one with many of the leading software and equipment manufacturers participating.  On Day 2, the IVA Filmmakers Expo will be offering an industry first; a live camera/production workshop were industry leaders will show you the techniques they use to create international award winning films.”

WEVA (International Wedding and Event Videographers Association) is the biggest event / convention/ trade show in the wedding film industry so it is a huge honor to be chosen. I’m extremely excited to be able to share and teach people from all over the world. This year is also a landmark event for WEVA because it’s their 20th anniversary. The event is being held for a week at the Dolphin Disney World Resort in Orlando, so I’ll definitely have to check out a few parks while I’m there.

We still have quite a few weddings in the next 2 months, and a New years eve wedding that should be a great way to finish the year! The blog has been slow but it’s about to blow up with many new trailers and videos, so stay tuned!

We had the pleasure heading out to San Francisco a few weeks ago to shoot some material for Holly & Dave who will be getting married in Des Moines next summer. It was an amazing trip and great change of scenery. I’ll have a sneak peek of their love story and engagement shoot on the blog soon.

We received 3 more awards this year for our cinematography work. I have a blast putting these together but have to thank all of our couples for the inspiration and creativity that I get from them as well. You are the subjects and the ones who create all of the joy and emotion of the day. I’m simply there to capture those emotions and retell your story. You make that possible!

In January, I’ve been asked to be a featured speaker at the Illinois videographers association in Chicago. I was happy to be invited to speak on certain aspects of our cinematography and the industry. It should be a fun experience that I’m very much looking forward to.
